Each client has its own unique needs and timetables. Carlson Search Group works closely with you to create a custom search that is built around an open communications process. With that said, we do see patterns in our searches. The typical search follows a fairly simple three-step process.
- Background, research and target candidates
- Understanding your company's strategy and leadership needs are critical to hiring the right person, so we begin the process by meeting with you to learn more about the company and how this assignment fits into the broader picture. This sets the tone for the search.
- Now we work with you to identify targeted companies and organizations that may yield potential candidates. For each search we will conduct original research into targeted companies, as well as use our extensive database of industry contacts.
- Finally, we contact potential candidates about the opportunity and gather background information from qualified and interested candidates.
- Presentation of candidates
- CSG presents the most qualified candidates to you in a user-friendly report that allows easy comparison.
- From the report, you select the best candidates to be interviewed by CSG. Then we interview the candidates and prepare a comprehensive report that includes our assessment and recommendations. From here, you select the best candidates for internal interviews.
- After the internal interviews, we debrief each candidate to note their observations and level of interest. This will be reported back to you.
- Selection and Hiring Process
- We will conduct reference checks on the final candidates you select.
- Once the final candidate has been selected, CSG can provide two levels of support. One includes assisting in building an attractive offer package, and two, building on the relationship developed with the candidate throughout the process, provide any necessary support throughout the negotiation process.
- Executive Assimilation
- After completing the search, our work is not done. If you wish, Carlson Search Group will work closely with the new employee and the hiring manager to ensure the new employee gets off to a quick, successful start with your company.
